What should I do if they get wet?

Firstly, you should remember that jute and water don't get on well. The jute tends to swell and come apart when in contact with water. Therefore, it's essential to avoid getting your espadrilles wet, especially never putting them in the washing machine.

However, we understand that rain can catch you off guard. If that happens, follow these simple steps to save your espadrilles.

#1

Let them dry with a hairdryer or in the open air without exposing them to the sun.
Always keep the espadrille in a horizontal position.

#2

You can also sprinkle bicarbonate and leave for a few hours to remove moisture and prevent odour. Then, remove it with a soft-bristle brush.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE SOLE STARTS TO COME OFF?

#1

Use a special adhesive for shoes, which you can find in shoe repair shops and marketplaces. Apply the adhesive to the separated surface and press both parts together. Let the adhesive dry for at least 24 hours.
